[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]Trumpeter Hermon Mehari’s next project will focus on exploring the possibilities of electronic programming and effects, as well as the creative use of possibilities of the trumpet as a voice. The music will be influenced by modern day genres and technology for the sounds but with a more instrumental focus. In addition part of the project’s scope will consider the visual elements of show production as well.

The trumpet will be used with a variety of plug-ins and effects to open up different sound and harmonic possibilities. It will also be part of the accompanying programming in different ways. Acoustically, the trumpet will be used to imitate to the voice in a sung-like way, with influences such as Björk, Maria Callas, and Drake.

A big part of the music will be electronic and produced, involving collaboration with DJs and producers. The genres will be blurred but the roots of music like soul, hip-hop, EDM and jazz will be present. The project will use multi-instrumentalist’s Peter Schlamb and Ryan J. Lee to realize the full sound and possibilities of the music in the live setting. Schlamb will perform vibraphone, electric vibraphone, keyboards and synth bass while Lee will perform drums, bass, and keyboards.

This project will be appropriate for venues that are focused on alternative music or electronic music. The multi-instrumentalist capabilities of the musicians allows for flexibility in touring and performance situations.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
